Who We Are

Dave: A local church deacon and teaching elder, Dave enjoys adventure discipleship and evangelism. He uses motorcycling, sailing, trades skills, and travel to build relationship and create space for meaningful conversation. He can be found planning his next trip, discussing engineering topics, or trying to figure out where his wife wandered off to in an archaeological site.

Cat: A magazine writer and book editor since the mid-2000s, Cat enjoys horticulture and botany, residential design, philosophy, speculative fiction, and Christian apologetics. She enjoys creating space for women to self-educate and develop their personhood in Christ. She can be found curled up with a book or engineering optimal plant environments in her garden.

Dave and Cat homeschooled four now-adult children and enjoy the blessings of close intergenerational relationships with their parents, children, and friends of all ages and stages.

New World Inklings is a combination of traditional hospitality, a dining room library, fireside visits, and going out into the world to see God at work. Come rest, laugh, and learn with us.
